Notebook, netbook, of any kind, Ultrabook Intel claimed as a new generation of PCs. Really?
Intel showcased an exhibition venue Ultrabook ™ at Computex 2011 in Taipei. According to Intel, Ultrabook is a new generation of notebook products. They therefore do not hesitate to put the symbol “TM” brand behind it. The shape is thin and light, its thickness is only 20 millimeters, but the processor can work with maximum capability. Armed with an Intel Core-2 generation to the Ivy Bridge.
Although there was no explanation of what the system will be used, Intel said that the system works in the first Ultrabook showcased at Computex is the ASUS UX21. President of Intel executive Sean Maloney believes that this PC can be successful in the market. “Ultrabook will dominate the market by 40 percent by the end of 2012,” he said.

The name of the Atom processor seems to be spurred further by Intel. Even the company claims the Atom will beat Moore’s Law pace, thanks to the acceleration in manufacturing technology from 32nm to 22nm down to 14nm, within a period of 3 years in a row. ”Intel’s next generation of platform-based Atom processors aimed at the tablets, netbooks and smartphones,” said Intel Corporation Executive Vice President Sean Maloney, at the Computex 2011, Taipei, Taiwan.
Intel is preparing the next generation netbook platform code-named “Cedar Trail.” This chipset is the first netbook platform-based Intel 32nm technology, and will enable the design of ultra-thin and without a fan. This new platform also comes with several new features such as Intel ® Rapid Start that provides a fast-resume, Intel Smart Connect Technology that enables the experience is always updated even when in standby, Intel Wireless Display and PC Synch, that allows users to update and synchronize documents, and media content to multiple devices wirelessly.
In addition, this platform is expected to have a battery life up to more than 10 hours of the life and standby time up to more than a week. Cedar Trail will also support leading operating systems, such as Microsoft Windows, Google Chrome and MeeGo. Maloney also discussed “Medfield”, Intel’s first 32nm platform tailored for smartphones and tablets. “Medfield” has been optimized for low power requirements and high performance so as to provide a long-time usage, gaming capabilities and a rich multimedia, and advanced visual capabilities. Snapdragon mobile chipset which was introduced by the latest generation is a single-core Qualcomm MSM8930, MSM8960 dual-core, quad-core APQ8064, MDM9625, MDM9225, MDM9615 and MDM8215. In total there are seven new Snapdragon chipset. This chipset is made by using 28 nanometer technologies, its size was smaller.
Processor micro-architecture code-named Krait in the latest generation Snapdragon chipset offers speeds up to 2.5 GHz per core and delivers 150 percent better overall performance, also saving power by 65 percent. MSM8930, MSM8960 and APQ8064 could integrate the connectivity solutions such as WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth, FM, and includes support for near field communication (NFC), stereoscopic 3D (S3D), videos and photos.
In addition, Indonesia also introduced chipsets Qualcomm Mobile Broadband Data Modem (MDM), the newest, the MDM9625 and MDM9225 for use on mobile broadband data devices. Both MDM chipsets will support FDD and LTE broadband standard LTE TDD UE Category 4. MDM9625 chipset and MDM9225 offer broadband data connections to the user good. (more…)

Some users are confused, when Google decided to make Chrome the operating system OS for netbooks. This confusion occurred about the differences between Android and Chrome OC. Chrome is Google’s open source operating system designed specifically for notebook computers. Well Google Chrome is making sure that the OS will never be immersed for the tablet.
Because Chrome OS is basically a web-centric operating system designed to function more power and data intensive applications.
Meanwhile, the tablet market is something else entirely. Unlike some experts, Google sees the two as completely separate world with a line established between them.
