The movie maker is a nifty software package that allows owners to edit their own home movies, and then post them online. Using a special digital detection method, the movie maker automatically slices raw video footage into small clips, wherever it detects an abrupt scene changes. The movie maker features a story line editing board, with clip holding boxes and transitional areas. When a user is ready to edit, he simply drags his video clips into one of the boxes. Special effects can then be added to one or more of the clips, and special transitions can be added to the space between the boxes.
